A Bright Yellow Victorian Style shop with a mine shaft right behind it:
Gold Reef City is built around a 19th-century gold mine which opened Shaft No 14 for production in 1887. In 1884 they discovered the large gold deposits found along the Witwatersrand. This caused the “gold rush" in 1886, South Africa and the city of Johannesburg was established.
This yellow mine cart stands right in front of the mining museums entrance:
Gold Reef City provides entertainment for the young and old. There is an amusement park for the brave at heart, a Casino for those looking at emptying their pockets with the hope to win BIG, a lovely Victorian style Hotel, two museums - a Mining and Apartheid museum, and a Mine Shaft where you can experience what the miners went through by going deep underground.

The beautiful hotel at Gold Reef city, Victorian style building in a light yellow:
The Theme Park is a must for the adrenalin junkie with its famous “Tower of Terror” which is a 90-degree drop from the top of the mine shaft, “The Anaconda” with upside down loops and twists which will turn even the strongest stomach. For the faint at heart, they do have the “Dream Boat” where you can relax in the boat on the cool waters of the theme park, watch the vintage cars passing you by, or watching the people getting wet in the “Log Ride”. They have 30 rides, an animal farm, the “Jozi Express” (which is a little train taking you right around the park) and last but not least, a huge Farris Wheel.
