One of those moments when you have your camera equipped with a 250mm lens and something interesting flies in its field. I wish it was a UFO, but I'll settle for a green fly on my green Aloe vera plant.

Good thing I had my 250 mm, I was watching for birds. Then this fly comes and starts hovering around the plants. I guess it wanted to bathe in the sunshine lol

Oh wow! I'm amazed you managed to get that shot! I love it, especially having the depth with the blurred grass in the background.
I've tried a few times, but they never cooperated for me. Hence why most of my insect models have no wings! Well, butterflies, but I cheated being in an enclosed area with TONS of them. Lol
It's not grass by the way, it's my Aloe vera plant 😉
Not easy to photograph insects, they're so tiny to spot. I like birds and squirrels, they're easy to lure with seeds.
