ColorChallenge SundayPurple - Lavender

My sister had a lavender in a pot on her balcony. I managed to take a few photos while she wasn't looking ;)

We all know Lavender fragrance right? There is still something I didn't try to make and I am really curious about - cookies. Would they smell like soap after I add some flowers to the dough? :p Anyone tried that?

Hi Ewa! Lavender will always be one of my favorites. And yes! You can bake with that! I used to make lavender cake. Lavender ice cream. Just use 1 or 2 drops of the essential oil.

I saw some recipes where they used dried flowers I think. And when you make cookies you can see them there. That must be so cool :) Did you try that?

Yes i once did that but i did not like it very much. Maybe if the flowers were to be caramalized first....

The flowers taste bitter. So personally i would caramalise them before

Well Ewa - i !! thought so when i ate that once,doesn't mean all will agree with me. But i remember then thinking how much better (to my taste) itwould be if they had sweetened the flowers a bit 😉
