The Astia squash is a compact plant with a plethora of delicious green fruit best picked at 6-7 inches or 15-18 cm. Like most summer squash the younger they are picked and eaten, the more tender and better tasting they are. Some summer squash (patty pans) can be picked at 1 inch or 2.5 cm.
