BLUE SEAL - SILVER CERTIFICATE- FIVE DOLLARS
This bill has some collectible value to it with a value of six dollars. It is worth an extra dollar and it looks cool with its Blue Seal and Blue Serial Numbers.
In the early 1960s, this Five Dollar Silver Certificate could be redeemed for Five Silver Dollar coins.

I have been learning so many things about American Notes and I thank you for this.
I'm glad you like these posts. I know a little and I am also learning more. These $5 silver certificates could have been redeemed for 5 silver dollars in the 1960s. I wonder if we have learned from this history. Is there an opportunity today with a similar outcome? Is it silver? . . . gold? . . . cryptos?
I love these old notes! I received a book of them for my graduation and take a look at it from time to time!
I am glad you love these old notes. I do too. It is great that you have a book of them.
I have a set of coins and currency from when I was 12 years old. it's doesn't have a lot of dollar value. However, it is sentimental, invaluable and irreplaceable. I am glad I have kept it for all these years.
I should do a post on the ones I have!! It is crazy how just a few years can change absolutely everything when it comes to finances!
I agree that you should share yours.
Is is amazing that change occurred quickly. Also, did it cause a transfer of wealth to those who were aware the change was going to occur. And, how does this look today?
