As the color of the challenge day Wednesday (yellow), I put the roses. as we know, roses have a variety of colors, some are red, white and yellow as seen in this piece.
They are native in the Americas, from Mexico to Argentina, but have naturalized all over the tropics, and have become invasive in some areas, such as Queensland, Australia.
These are certainly lovely, and lovely photos for the color challenge, but they are not roses.
I believe these are Allamandas, which I have grown several times, while living in Florida:

Definitely not a member of the rose family. ;-)
