For Sunday Purple I'm sharing these photos of bumblebees feasting on some purple coneflowers. Did you know that the coneflower, which tends to be easy to grow even in poor soil conditions, and attracts bees and other beneficial insects, is part of the echinacea genus of plants? Although not classified as a drug, many use echinacea for its proported benefits to the immune system and aid in fighting infections. Happy Sunday!

Thanks @lrich. These flowers are at a farm in Pennsylvania. I'm going to load up on them for next season though because after learning about them, they are pretty hardy and they are so colorful and I could always use more bees!
