This flower plant is called by various names. Portulaka, Krokot, Flower Beat Nine, Sweet Beauty, Bombay Silk, up to the latin name of this plant, Portulaca grandiflora. The name portulaka and purslane refer to the name of this genus of interest, namely Portulaca.
In Indonesia, various types of Portulaca are referred to as purslane. The name 'flower at nine' was attached because of this flower habits that began to bloom at around nine o'clock in the morning.
Flowers are often referred to as Sweet and Sweet and Bombay Silk is a seasonal crop of wet season. Stem crops between 15-30 cm long and often branching from the base.
The trunk is able to grow upright or as it creeps on the ground. The color of this purslane is red or green with the thin hairs of the border of the trunk.
