Christmas in July is a becoming quite the "thing" in America and usually I can't buy into that at all, preferring to keep my seasonal holidays fixed in their appropriate seasons. But this summer I'm writing a Christmas-themed romance novel in order to have it ready to publish in November. So at this very moment, I'm listening to Ella Fitzgerald's "White Christmas" and trying to capture that Christmas spirit. Honestly, it feels like I'm wearing the wrong skin, but sometimes we have to do uncomfortable and weird things for our art. Thus it seems appropriate to share this photo with you today. Purple Christmas lights lining one of the buildings in Dollywood last Christmas. Happy Christmas in July to you!

Haha! I didn't change the colors, no! :D It's true that Christmas is wonderful, but I admit I prefer to keep it firmly in December. :D

Yes, I know many people feel that way about Christmas books, movies, etc, but I am one who usually likes to keep that holiday firmly in December. :) Thanks for the comment!
Maybe I don't fully understand your feeling towards it because Christmas is not so a big thing in where I'm from.
