Dear Steemians!
Summer Sizzler - Mexican Petunia
Mexican Petunia is one of my favourite flower. Mexican petunia is not a real petunia, but its flower looks like one.The accepted botanical name is Ruellia brittoniana, but you'll also see it called R. malacosperma.
Mexican petunia grows 3 to 4 feet tall with attractive, purplish stems and narrow, lance-shaped leaves.Showy blue or purple flowers, beloved by butterflies and hummingbirds.
Mexican petunia grown under hot sunny conditions the foliage assumes a metallic bluish cast that creates the perfect backdrop for the the scores of vibrant blue flowers that appear with the onslaught of hot summer weather.
This is my entry for #colorchallenge Sunday Purple.#colorchallenge is a contest initiated by @kalemandra.
Enjoy, my fovaurite flower
