The Sun is the star at the midpoint of the Solar System. It is a practically perfect sphere of hot plasma, in the midst of internal convective motion that produces a magnetic field by means of a dynamo process. When traveling through space the Sun can be seen without going blind, it’s actually white, and not yellow. With prism, it can be seen how sunlight can be broken up into the spectrum of its colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. When blend all those colors, you get white. If all the photons coming in, our star is actually transferring the most photons in the green portion of the spectrum, Our Sun appears yellow to us for the reason that of the atmosphere.
