Blue Sky Friday Color Challenge: View from Lookout Mountain at Rock City

Earlier this spring, on our way back to Missouri from South Carolina, we stopped with our daughters just outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee to visit the Rock City attraction. This is the stunning view from the top of "Lookout Mountain"!

While we often enjoy exploring "off the beaten path", we have just as much fun enjoying the touristy attractions, and this place did not disappoint!

Seven of the states in the US can be seen from this point. Our daughters loved the view just as much as we did!

There's @jasonrussell photographing our beautiful and ecstatic little girlies! :)

The entry fee is a little pricey, but we felt that it was money well spent! I really enjoyed the history and the story of how this place came to be. You can check out their website here.

Thanks for checking it out!

Seems like a lot of fun :-)

There's a lot to do and see there. We spent several hours there and definitely had a lot of fun!

Those girls crack me up. Looks like a beautiful place!

It almost had a Silver Dollar City vibe to it, without the rollercoasters. So many pretty views! We have tons of pictures, so I'm sure I'll share more of the park sometime later :)

great post thanks dear

Pff that view is STUNNING <3 _ <3

god bless your childs <3

It was absolutely breathtaking and the girls loved every bit of it! Thank you! :)

Niice pictures.. Good shot..

Thank you!!!

You are welcome

Wow! I haven't thought about that place in years. I think I was there about 30 years ago. Those pictures brought memories I hadn't thought about in years.

One of my memories is the bumper sticker someone put on my parent's car. We drove that car for a while.

Thanks for the memories.

So cool to hear that another Steemit user has visited! I don't know how much has changed over the years, but it seems that the original owners were very smart and generous to open this place to the public.

Glad it brought back good memories! We have so many precious photos and memories, but I'll never forget stopping at the Starbucks on site and my youngest saying, "Mom... this place smells disgusting. Lol!

That's funny. I have been frequently surprised, amazed and frightened by what comes out of my kids' mouths, usually when I least expect it.

I'm glad you had a great trip. I like to ask my kids, after the fact, what the remember about certain trips. Their perspective is very interesting and what I think is the most important thing is usually not what they remember. They have a unique perspective.

One of my favorite questions for the kids is "What was your favorite thing about today?" Even on a normal day..Their responses are always fun :)

posting is very amazing, I really like.

Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you! :)
