I've never heard before about this great tree with blooming purple flowers. So had a "little investigation". Here's what I learned.
It turns out this kind of Laurel is called Texas mountain Laurel (Texas mountain laurel or Sophora secundiflora). From early spring until mid-april, the plant is covered with clusters of violet-blue inflorescences, the length of which reaches 17 cm.
Texas mountain Laurel is endemic (species and families of animals and plants, the representatives of which live in a relatively limited geographical region) Central and South-Western districts of Texas.
