It is midsummer in the Southern hemisphere and at just 26 degrees South of the equator, the sun is extremely bright. If you try and take pictures at midday using "normal" settings for light, everything looks overexposed even though this picture of a hibiscus flower has not been enhanced.
So pretty, as a macro fan may I ask which device you used?
