Camera Model : Nikon Coolpix 950 : 1/167, F/11, ISO-80

MAY 2000, in western Lithuania.These 3 pics were shot by @onealfa 17+ years ago, in

Nikon COOLPIX 950 was almost exclusive premium digital camera those days. My first "serious" digital cam, after my big disappointment in my debut model, some cheapie from VIVITAR.
950 got 2Mpix, swivel lens, 3Γ— optical zoom and minimum distance just 2 cm. WoW !
Coolpix 950 served me well for maybe 3 or 4 years. But then the avalanche of new competitors began, a better and better models started to roll out to the market almost every month.

The Digital Era began...

No, its gone. Long ago.
I have upgraded my digi cams maybe 7-8 times since then. Coolpix950 was really a capable machine. Especialy at macros, alowing minimum distance to the object <2 cm, and I think a close to 1:1 magnification shots.

I love blooming rapeseed! First of all it looks amazing when the fields are all yellow.... far far to the horizon :)
Then all the bees are getting my favourite spring honey...
and the smell when you pass near them is great too :)

All real. No photoshop. (in fact - a bit color saturation done by PhotoScape)
