When I drove South on Wednesday I had every intention of going to my sacred spot at the little beach today.
(Well maybe. You never know how the weather is going to be or what else you might find yourself up to...)
But I knew I was running low on sky blue pictures for Fridays and I'd gotten some good shots on the walk down that beach before. It's always worth the effort.
I'm not going today. The weather was good this morning but it's awesome just hanging out here with family. I've found myself up to something else in a new, though entirely different, sacred spot.
There's water here too. And sky. Lol.
My cousin and I took a walk around the 2 ponds near his condo. We met some neighbors, saw some turtles and fish.
I can always go to the beach on another visit down here. I have other things to do later. I came down for a myriad of reasons. I've been a busy, busy bee!
Right now I'm thankful though to relax and to spend time with family.
Family is one of the most important things to me. I get to see alot of my family on this trip. It makes me so happy!
Family are the people who have your back and always believe in you.
Family is not always blood and blood is not always family.
Family is a state of mind, an unending loyalty to love no matter what.
Families see each others' strengths and weaknesses and love them for both.
People who I call "family" and love to be around are people who are invested for life in my life and vice versa.
It pains me when these people become sick or ill and it hurts me when I lose them.
Families watch you grow and are proud.
They see you stumble and offer a supporting hand.
They cheer for you and they cry for you and they'll do it all over again.
They never give up on you.
They are always there in the background rooting for you.
My family is not perfect. I love all the people I call family in spite of that. Or maybe (because I'm an "eternal optimist") because of that!
I want to cheer for you! I want to watch you grow! I'm always here, looking for that "Pollyanna Principle" spin on the situation.
Maybe I'm not normal but the people who are my family know this and love me anyway.
We are all unique souls. We should all be appreciated for who and what we are. Fallible but lovable.
Real. Genuine. Sacred beings.
