Light at the end of the tunnel

This photo was taken in Castel Sant'Angelo, Rome, Italy.

I was walking through some dark corridors of the building and I suddenly noticed these interesting tunnel-like holes through the walls. My photographic mind was triggered by the light and various shapes so I grabbed my camera to take a few shots.

I like the way the light plays around and changes colors throughout the picture. It kind of looks like a dark tunnel, with a bright light at the end. As the saying goes: there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

    Haha als de symboliek nou eenmaal al bestaat betekend dat niet dat het plaatje daar al bij vast staat. Ik vind deze toepasselijker dan wat ik altijd in mijn hoofd had.
