I enjoy Last Week Tonight, I agree with his stances on Trump (IE that the man is likely an idiot), and generally find Oliver funny. But I'm an east coast liberal scientist so I'm pretty much his demographic.
He's hit and miss for me.
I find him funny, I just watch the youtube videos though, as I hardly watch any TV (except for football (soccer games) and frankly I don't think I could see a complete show, I get bored easy even if it is funny.
You should watch me in Queen of the South..my character is Barbaro.. I'm very funny in the show and maybe it will bring you back to TV😂

He was amazing in Community....he is good on his show too...but there was a period where ALL he did was bash Trump....was played out too much....he interviewed Snowden and had a piece about Bitcoin...but his performances in Community cannot be beat

He is really funny guy. His idea is awesome i really like it.
it really doesn't surprise me that he doesn't know anything about trade, just listening to him talk about it makes that obvious. but also, he's leading the party that doesn't understand debt and deficit either, so its no surprise that none of them can correct this stupidity.
I wouldn't say he leads the democratic party. Certainly he is one of the most popular comedians of a mostly liberal audience. He does a very shallow synopsis of trade, a mildly flawed synopsis of that, but he's a comedian. Also, the deficit is bigger this year then previous and debt has accelerated during this administration and republican control congress, so I don't understand what you're even saying about leading a party who doesn't understand debt and deficit. I don't think either party understands

he had his sights on crypto a couple of months ago - unfortunately he did a great job of describing some of the major issues cryptocurrencies have.
John Oliver is awesome. His does a great job in bringing to light what should be obvious, but is many times purposely mired in camouflage.
John Oliver has his funny moments, but he is also heavily biased towards the left side of politics and has a political agenda in some of the things he talks about.
His piece on Alex Jones relied on taking different clips and showing them out of context to make him look crazy for the sake of comedy. It was funny, but also skewered to make Jones look bad and further aid the liberal agenda of eradicating free speech.
He is really good. I have seen him since the daily show, when he did the spin thing when John Stuart was the host
