The man behind the republican health care plan is Wisconsin Congressman and House Speaker, Paul Ryan. This man is a devout follower of the novelist, Ayn Rand. Ayn Rand believed that individualism was nearer to god than any religion. The moral value of an individual's actions should not be defined by other individuals - no matter the consequences, which pertains to corporations too. She supported "laissez-faire" capitalism. Capitalism that is unregulated by government or tariff systems. Basically, a citizen should pull themselves up by their bootstraps to survive or succeed. I would sum her up as just one nasty bitch. Another interesting point in these two people's lives is that both used the government's social security funds to "pull themselves up by their bootstraps".
In 2009, Ryan said, "What's unique about what's happening today in government, in the world, in America, is that it's as if we're living in an Ayn Rand novel right now. I think Ayn Rand did the best job of anybody to build a moral case of capitalism, and that morality of capitalism is under assault."
There is no moral compass when capitalism is unregulated.
