forgot to take progress shots of this as I went along, but thought I would show it off anyways...
What we have here is an example of stopping while you are ahead. The request was specifically for Boris Karloff as Frankenstein. I don't do a lot of caricatures, or drawing specific people. I know how, kind of like I know how to play pool (billiards)...I understand hitting the cue ball at a certain angle and spin makes it go in a certain direction and rebound in a certain direction. But knowing and doing are two different things.
When I was doing work for Mad Magazine I got to talk to Mort Drucker, their top man as far as caricatures, and he gave me some basic "how to" stuff. I know enough to get by and some faces fit very well within my style of cartooning. This task however has two ways to go. I can make it look like Frankenstein...focus on those elements, but that will look more generic and kept swerving a bit too close to the Frank from the Munsters when plugged into my style. So I kept the focus on making it look s much like Karloff as I could while still drawing the face in my style. I think it turned out solid, a little tweeking might make him look more Frankenstein-ish OR it could ruin the whole thing.
I'm going to leave it as is. It's a pretty good take on Karloff as the monster. I don't think I could get it much better to be honest.

I have an itch to do some work on a Casper Comics and I contacted American Mythology (current publishers of Casper ). There response was basically -They know of my work and like it but are booked up til 2020. My response to that was basically- IDGAF add more content so I can contribute something.
I have not heard back yet...I may have to escalate things. I'll let you know if you can help with that.

Casper is so natural for your style, I think. I hope something comes out of this Casper thing you have got going !
yeah, I think I'm gonna have to bully them into it somehow. Because they seem a bit obstinate
I would actually buy my first Casper #comics if they let you do a backup story or one-shot. If not you could make your own character to fit the story, but you sound determined for this to be official. Hope they figure it out.
It's gotta be official...or else I ain't doing it! ...and the whole world loses out , heh
