First off...let me just say that this statue is a mammoth beast of a statue. Cable looks like an actor that just got cast in a Marvel film and did the ol’ beef up diet for the role. We’ve seen the transformations folks...Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, Kumail Nanjiani...Simply put...He is...
Before we delve into the unboxing though, I’ll give some quick backstory on who this fucker is for the 99% who are clueless. Pay attention though as it’s a tad complicated!!! Cable or Nathan Summers first appeared waaaay back in Uncanny X-Men #201...as a wittle baby. Look how cute!
Just kidding you moron, this was the little bundle of joy that would later grow up to resemble me...a cold blooded killer.
Straight from Wiki...
Nathan Summers is the biological son of the X-Men member Cyclops (Scott Summers) and Madelyne Pryor (Jean Grey's clone), the "half"-brother of Rachel Summers and Nate Grey, and the genetic template for Stryfe. He is from a possible future timeline, having been transported as an infant to the future where he grew into a warrior before returning to the present.
Got it?!? Good!!!
As he is normally seen, he first popped on the scene in New Mutants #87. You might have remembered seeing him played by Than...uh...Josh Brolin in Deadpool 2 as well.
Anyway, enough about this unimportant shit. You are here to see a statue!!! Or there is just unbelievably terrible content on Steemit at the moment and you stumbled upon my blog in which case I apologize. Either way...let’s jump in...shall we?!?
As mentioned in the title, this monster of a statue comes from Sideshow Collectibles. The outer box is nice and shows the statue with box art. Me likey. But we are not here for cardboard...
As per the usual with these pieces, it comes in several parts that you have to piece together. The magnets that hold em in place are pretty strong and once all together, you can’t tell even see the seams of where it all joins together.
Time to assemble.
The base is fine. Nothing amazing. It’s basically rubble which I’m kinda growing weary of...but the portals that attach to it bump it a notch. We received number 295/5000.
Then there’s the cape/cloak which to be honest...I didn’t even attach to it as I think it covers cool shit. So back in the box you go fabric!
Now for the body.
Now it’s time to get down to business. Bring out da guns!!!
🎵 The arm magnet’s connected to the...shoulder magnet! 🎶
Keep it moving...
Now to add the miscellaneous rubble and portals.
Just like my mom in the 80’s...let’s pop on the shoulder pads!!! (Her’s didn’t have ammo sadly.)
Now it’s my favorite part!!! Time to give Nathan some head!!!
Just like most men...after receiving head, he is done! Let’s take a gander at the finished product.
All in all, it’s a really nice statue. I am bored of simply “rubble” as the base for so many pieces but I guess there are only so many ideas out there for a Mutant that causes destruction...so I’ll let it slide. The guns make this piece pop I feel. The portal add a nice touch as well.
It’s a pretty large piece standing at over 2 feet tall and about a foot and a half wide. This heavy bitch is around 15 pounds and the version you are looking at will set ya back $700 smackers. These collectibles are getting nutty with their starting prices...
There is a Sideshow Exclusive version that you can only purchase off their site with an addition size of 1000 pieces. That bastard comes with an extra accessory of the Deadpool doll coming out from one of the portals and for that...you’ll pay $25 bucks more. Other than that though...same exact piece.
All in all it’s a great addition to any collection and looks killer once pieced together. Thanks for taking this tour with me.

Where and how are these things painted? By hand?
Wuddup?!? Yeah these are all hand painted already. Guessing in China or something like that. It’s not like a model kit that the buyer paints. These all come ready for display. It’s a huge business and this particular company, Sideshow Collectibles is definitely one of the leaders putting out insane shit.

Yeah, I didn't think that you had the talent to paint that ;D
Just wondering as the detail is fantastic.

Funny that you got number 295 because I actually got 297. One of my favorite characters in the marvel universe. Nice pictures. Well done.
Just amazing sir blewitt and this post is hilarious! Great job.
