Just to let you know, there are folks on hive that have substantial stakes, and they guard Hive from things they think are bad for it. One of them that triggers many is using pictures or artwork without proper attribution to the source. Doing that and attracting the attention of one of Hive's self appointed guardians can lead to your account being completely demonetized forever by them.

I always provide a link to the source of pics or material I reproduce in my posts, not out of fear, but because I think it's the right thing to do, honestly. Here's how to do it in your posts and comments from now on, if you don't intend to run afoul of such censorial taxation (because DV's are a form of taxation that anyone with stake on Hive can throw on your account, and after you don't get any rewards from your posts for a while, you tend to give up and quit posting, so it censors people in practice).

Wherever you find that perfect pic you want to use, such as the above, you copy the link to the site where you found it. Then you use markup to link the image back to the site you got it from, like this:

CAndC.jpg
IMG source - SteamGriddb.com

To add the link using markup you begin the command with the '<' symbol. Then follow that with 'a href=" '(I had to add an extra space here after the " symbol). Then right click and paste the link you copied from the URL of the site where you found the image. 'https://www.steamgriddb.com/grid/95200' in this case. Then follow that with '"><'i>'(here I added the apostrophe after the < symbol, or the markup would be invisible) and type in 'IMG source - ' followed by the name of the site, in this case SteamGridDB.com. Follow that with '</'i></'a>' (here I added the apostrophes after the / symbol, to make the markup visible), and you're done (the <'i> tag is just used to make the text italic, which I do to differentiate it from the rest of the text of the post, but it's already blue, so that's not really necessary. It's just what I started doing ~7 years ago, and I do it out of habit).

If you have questions and want to ask me about this, just reply to this comment and I'll get a notification on keychain that you replied and be able to respond.

Thanks!

ThanKS,that's neat, pretty much html then, I didn't give source in this case as it's pretty much a brand name the pic being the cover of the game. So credit to the command ad conquer series of games, command and conquer being the makers of the game.
I do always try to give credit to what or whereever I get stuff from.
For the memes, nobody ever gives their name to them, I don't know why.

If what I post is bad for hive, I'll simply leave.
My (failing) object was to bring people I know here into a community, so,... if what is discussed was bad for hive, and I don't really see why it should, if that was tucked away in a community would it matter?
