Prior Commissioning Technology
Precedent to present day commissioning managers had to struggle with lots of paperwork. All the directory were processed on hard copy, which was inconvenient to carry to work site. The devices were inadequate during the evaluation processes, and the accuracy level was relatively low as compared to the present day. Inspection of projects and report preparation takes quite a significant time compared to today.
With the advent of technology, this sector has changed at a fast pace. This can be attested with managers with many years of experience who use this cumbersome method then. The commissioning managers have every reason to be thankful for modern current commissioning technology as the building and construction industry is now an absolutely distinct sector.
Today’s Commissioning Technology
The manager who has been in the field a long time have no choice other to move with time, while the young ones who just graduated are provided with the modern skills and technology making their projects easier and better.
Today, the use of software and apps to plan and organize projects have overshadowed the sector. The use of smartphones has made it easier for managers to carry all the information they require, such information includes reports, reminders, project timelines and checklists. A presentation can also be easily done with the use of phones/laptops and projectors.
Future Commissioning Technology
Technology innovators and people in management are working jointly to proffer better ways of completing projects or doing things.
Better apps that are more intuitive to use and applicable to all parties are expected to be released soon. Smart cameras that are capable of detecting faults and need corrections are also expected soon. The aim is to aid people to make rational decisions in their work. For any project, commissioning remains a predominant step and evolution in technology is doing excellently well too. One can only look forward to a better future.
