1. brush your teeth after eating?

We learned that in childhood we should brush our teeth immediately after eating rice. However, this is a common misconception in the days when common sense about tooth care was lacking.

Immediately after eating, ‘saliva’ is secreted. And this saliva plays an important role in protecting the teeth. when this saliva works best, it is after eating. If you eating and brush teeth right away, you will just spit out the most effective saliva.

And the surface of the teeth after eating rice is very soft and can easily be scratched. If you brush your teeth in this state, your tooth will be hurt by your toothbrush.

In Sweden, it is said to chew gum instead of gargle to actively release saliva after meals. If you have consumed food, it is best to brush your teeth after at least 10 minutes.

2. Purpose of brushing

The reason for brushing teeth is to remove the plaque. The plaque is a sticky, transparent membrane that sticks to the surface of the tooth, and if it is not removed, about 10 billion bacteria will reproduce.

In addition, acidic substances produced by plaque bacteria cause tooth decay.

Correct brushing removes food from the teeth as well as plaque that is full of germs.

3. Get up in the morning and drink from the water?

Drinking water as soon as you wake up in the morning is a very dangerous act.

Bacteria in your mouth multiply explosively while you sleep. As soon as you wake up in the morning, if you drink from the water, you will swallow the germs that are full in mouth.

For health, if you wake up in the morning, you should clean your mouth and drink water or eat food.

4. Using Floss

Floss is not a tool to help brushing. Removing plaque, especially, is effective several times more than toothbrush.

It is said that the plaque can be properly removed by the floss and the systemic disease can be prevented by maintaining the cleanliness between the tooth and the tooth. In fact, people who are dirty in their mouths are more than three times more likely to develop infections than those who have clean mouths.

5. Look into a mirror when brushing.

To perfection, brush the teeth between the teeth while looking at the mirror, and clean the root of the tooth. All parts of the teeth must be thoroughly wiped clean.

6. Use only a little bit toothpaste.

The freshness and smoothness after brushing is due to the ingredient ‘sodium lauryl sulfate’. However, this ingredient is also contained in synthetic detergent and does not contribute to tooth health.

In particular, toothpastes with large grains can cause plaque multiplication, so the less you use toothpaste, the better.

7. throw out toothbrush used for more than a month.

If you have used your toothbrush for over a month, it is best to discard it. There are more than 100 million bacteria in toothbrushes that have been used for more than a month. Some of them staphylococcus aureus, which causes dermatitis, is also included.

Also, after using the toothbrush, you must remove the water surely. If multiple toothbrushes are inserted into a single cup, care must be taken that the bristles do not touch each other.
