I agree, people have lost the ability to communicate. A big part of the problem in my eyes is the rise of social media. Before all the mybooks and facespaces we had to actually talk to people face to face. Now we don't even talk to the person sitting across the dinner table. Kids are now growing up with that same tech glued to their hand. Yes, listening is a big part of communication, but if you don't even know how to speak to someone, how can you expect anyone to actually listen?

Thank you for your insight, i could not agree more. We are just too focused on social networks, news, or trying to drag attention to ourselves that we are loosing sense of the people that is close to us, parents are becoming more distant to their childrens and the list goes on, i am pretty sure that learning to listen will improve all of our relationships with family, coworkers, friends, etc.
