@redoy3121 Agreed.
On a similar note, how far do you think Xi Jinping will take China in terms of a controlled state? He is now being compared to Mao Zedong, has abolished term limits for his presidency and has tightened censorship over the internet.
I foresee a grave future for the Chinese in the near-term as he will likely use AI innovations to create a complete surveillance state. Furthermore his government carefully controls outside as well as internal conglomerates and corporations. Executives at the highest level participate in CCP-sponsored FDI in other countries & China is paving the way through the Belt & Road Initiative making inroads to SE Asia, South China Sea, Middle East, Eastern Europe & Africa as well as far abroad in the LAC region as well as the US. Xi Jinping seeks to build a Silk Road 2.0 and he is reigning control over generals in the military, executives in the corporate world, state-run media, tight censorship of the internet & the CCP.
I fear that in the coming years his control will only tighten and he will solidify complete power and control in the economic, military, political and media realms. Would not this raise concern over a reborn Communist China to an extent much greater than what we see it today? And if so, does it really matter if China gives the appearance that it is a mixed economy even if Xi Jinping is the one pulling all the strings in the background?
