It aims to help retention on the platform by welcoming, upvoting and introducing brand new Steemians to the greater Steem community. @mikepm74 has done a lot of work in setting up @thefreshfive account, delegating to it and setting up curation trails so others can also help support new and exciting Steemians.
Retention is probably one of the more important aspects towards mass adoption. Great bloggers will up and leave if they feel like their voices are lost in the wind, @thefreshfive is welcoming and helps establish support and the offer of a lifeline if newbies have any questions or issues.
