The eight months I have been on Steem have been a whirlwind. I joined toward the end of May 2017 and just recently blasted past 3100 followers. Early on I met @Aggroed and joined @minnowsupport, soon becoming a community moderator. Since then I have formed @TheWritersBlock with @Rhondak, creating a 650 member strong writers community with big plans to form a publishing house backed by crypto. We recently entered into an association with a large off chain community of writers with plans to attract more talented writers to Steem.
@acidyo chose me among his original curators for @OCD and it's a task I still perform many months on.
I created my @Muxxybot curation account in July and have been sharing minnow posts, discovered by a 28 member curation team. The account curates six days a week currently.
Meanwhile I have been posting daily - sometimes up to five times - growing my account and powering down some to be able to afford my Steemfest trip last November. Thanks also to the rise in value of SBD, this past Christmas was the first time my family have not had to get in to debt. I made plans at the end of last year to become a Steem witness, and I did just that starting January the 1st.
For those unaware, due to poor health - I have Multiple Sclerosis - I have lots of time to dedicate to what I consider to be my job - doing what I can to grow not only my account and presence here on the platform, but to help others reach their potential and to succeed.
OK, we get it, you're busy. What's your point?
The GIF at the beginning of this post gives an idea of what it's like to run the @gmuxx, @muxxybot and @thewritersblock accounts, moderate at @MinnowSupport and run things at The Writers' Block. Every day is a juggling act, some tasks are more essential than others. Projects need to get started and kept on track, people managed, posts posted, replies answered etc. And you know what? I absolutely love it. Yes, sometimes when my health drags me down it can get draining BUT - and this is my aim with this post - there is a huge group of people that help, assist and support everything I do on Steem, who I am extremely grateful for. Without them I wouldn't be able to accomplish half as much.
I would love to name them all, but find such posts a bit bleh. I include everyone from the leadership team at @minnowsupport and my fellow @ocd team members. The Writers' Block is like a second family to me and I thank them all for everything they do to help keep The Block running as well as it does. It really wouldn't be the community it is without them. Thanks also to all of the Muxxybot Curators who scour Steem daily for tasty gems to share. I also want to thank everyone who has supported my witness campaign and those that assist me with any problems that show up with my server.
Like what I do? Vote for my witness https://steemit.com/~witnesses - scroll below top the 50 witnesses and enter my name in the text box, then click vote. Thanks for your support.
It's been great for me too, seeing you on MSP 7 months ago, getting randomly selected for muxxybot or OCD, and interacting with you on Writers Block.
7 months down...70 years to go?
It sometimes feels like 70 years already ;-)
Get otter here you soppy git...
Have a big old plankton slap
Gogo you can do it muxxinator! I hope no matter what the future holds it's nothing but upwards progress for you, your projects and your vision.
Life before me and you wasn't living.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I never knew that you had multiple scoliosis. I suffer an S shaped scoliosis and in pain whenever it gets too cold and I can't carry anything heavy.
Bad posture while reading, hereditary because my sister also has it and a light threshold to pain makes me cranky and usually just want to sit or lay down.
You had an amazing journey here in Steemit and I like how you helped a lot of minnows grow and your initiatives with The Writer's Block. So whenever I chance on any writer I think is good I send them your way.
I have also been telling people to vote for you as a witness.
You are doing an amazing job and I know you will continue to grow and help struggling writers find value and respect here.
I will keep supporting you and your initiatives.
Sorry to hear about your health.
Thank you for your support.
Multiple sclerosis is different from scoliosis, but pain is pain. I’m sorry for all of us who live with it daily.
Seems like you're a decent juggler Muxx :) Pretty impressive getting all that off the ground after being here for less than a year, along with posting so many times a day!
TWB is the reason I'm writing again, so thank you for starting it. Supporting and following you was a no-brainer :)
It's an honour to even be allowed to be a part of the amazing family that is The Writers' Block. And we owe that to you. Team or no team, we'd be lost without you.
I can honestly say that @gmuxx has earned every penny, several times over here.
Perhaps when you need a break, you can do some 3D modelling to relax?
You're an inspiration!
Your posts and your company on The Writer's Block are always refreshing.
Thank you for all your hard work!
Amazing how much you've been able to do on the platform in this short time. I hope to reach similar heights :).
Life here would be boring without you and @muxxybot....
Thank you for all you do @gmuxx. I don't know how you keep all those flaming sticks in the air, but I hope one day I can become as helpful to the Steem community as you've become.
Ha! That is an epic fire show. You deserve my follow.

Hey, just want you to know, your health comes first and we love you. So your health should come first =)
Give yourself a rest day from time to time, the discord family will still be there, steemit will still be there. But your health???oh...dear, it's the top priority. Great Health = great productivity.
Cheers =)
may your journey continue with success,
