Happy Sunday !
It's bright and sunny out this morning, but a little cool. Have you been here when I have said I don't like cold weather??? Well... I don't. It got down in the 30s last night, BOOOO.... but here half past 10, it's already in the 50s. Should get up in the low to middle 60s though, so that's not terrible.
Sometimes when I am at my art table, after I have taken a process photo of whatever I am working on, I sit my phone back in it's holder and see views like this in the lens. Once in a while I reach over an click a photo. I don't know why, but some of them turn out neat and colorful. This is one I took while the phone was on it's stand last night. Random "thing" holders on the edge of my art desk.
I bought this fun Christmas painting from an artist in Canada after I saw it on the art site DPW (daily paint works) It was so fun and festive with it's Christmas Cookies in a cup, that I thought I needed it here to keep me company through this holiday season. I hung it over my work monitors to help bring some happiness factor to my work days. So fun !
I showed this handmade angel my sister made for me early in the year as my birthday present. I have had it sitting on the end of my piano every since. This past week as I have slowly dragged out some of my happy Christmas decor, I put my handmade pottery nativity with the angel. I didn't realize before I tried it there, that they both had some teal color on them, but since they do, they look pretty neat together in kind of an odd way. The lady that made the nativity had only made them in very small versions, but one year when I saw them, I asked her if she could make one much larger. She took on the challenge and did it! I love it again every year when I take it out.
It's really beginning to look a lot like Christmas around my house now. I normally don't drag stuff out till the day after Thanksgiving, but I bought a new Santa & Mrs. Claus dancing and once it got here, well.... it called for more Santas to come out and play and once the Christmas closet was opened.... well... every day, a few more things came out of it. I have been working on it very slowly in the evenings this past week. Not finished yet though. I'll show more photos later of course.
Like most Sundays, I will be heading out to Mom's before too long. I cooked a corned beef brisket and we will have some kraut and creamed potatoes. I'm not sure how the potatoes really go with the other two things, but that's what Mom likes, so that's what I'm taking out. You gotta do what Mom loves while you can, don't you ??
I turned up the heat a little a while ago, but I am still cold! Did I tell you I detest being cold??? LOL !! I know, funny.....
I hope you have all been having a nice weekend. Mine has been decent. I am only working two days this coming week, so I have a mini vacation over the Thanksgiving holiday. I'm going to enjoy every minute, but as we all know, those days fly by faster than work days, so it will only feel like the blink of an eye.

That nativity is very special to me. I don't collect clay pottery things really, but I do love it all.
I like a lot of Christmas decor. It always raises my spirits
I almost forgot that Thanksgiving was so close, so it made me happy when I realized again I have a short work week this week. It will make tomorrow not seem so hard. 😊

It turned out to be nice all day. There will be less and less of that as the winter comes nearer ! Thank goodness for heat!
Yeah right, the sky is gray here. So depressive.

The sweet cookie painting made me want to create something Christmasy too, but I haven't yet. Maybe some evening this week, time will tell.

Since I like to have a LOT of decorations, I reason that it would be crazy to do so much late and not have lots of time to enjoy them, although, I will also admit I sometimes leave them up till WAY after Christmas. ha
I loved the the angel's had was wrapped in a musical hymn as well. I thought she did a VERY fine job of it.

Yeah, that is a beautiful angel, if I had one I would leave it on the piano throughout the whole year :D not just for Xmas
My birthday was January and it took a couple of months before my sister gave it to me. She had told me on my birthday was working on something for me, but had not finished it at the time. I thought it was well worth they wait when I saw it. It has been on the piano all year and I don't intend on storing it away after Christmas. 😊
