You need a lotttttttttt of regular users to get a post on trending (all based on SP). If you get whale support, it is more likely to happen for sure. Most whales have delegated SP to other people or to vote buying :/ ... maybe see if the people who have delegated SP (like 100,000+ SP) are willing to help this project? Just an idea.... A few of them would make it happen... But I don't think trying to get people on the trending page is going to work (does it really matter? I forget why it's important, sorry...). It's all about the SP, and right now steem users are all about selling SP to get people on the trending page, unless already part of a project that has delegated large SP to it.

Well, it's an experiment. We've got seven days of voting. Most posts don't get any after about two or three. What if we kept pushing the whole time? I get where you're coming from (I'm really not delusional) but, look at all these people drawn together by a single post. Just one post. So, if this one does anything at all, shouldn't be too hard, by the second or third time in. To be honest, the top of trending is unsustainable, BUT $20, $30, or $40 a post, I can see from others doing it consistently, isn't, with an engaged audience. Then, I teach others how to do that too. I don't know how long the vote bots will remain, maybe forever. but with the sheer numbers of new people coming onto the platform, if we can shift the thinking of the next generation of dolphins, into curating their own votes instead of vote farming, maybe that wave of new people into those categories will make it less profitable.
