I remember riding in a car with my dad when I was a kid. We were driving through a parking lot, and he saw a beer bottle on the ground. He actually stopped the car to lean out and pick it up. He didn't want anyone else to accidentally run over it and pierce their tire.
I have remembered this all my life, and it pops into my head when I see something that needs to be done but isn't my responsibility. Your little girl will remember what you're showing her and be a better person for it. It may not seem like it when she's a teenager, but it's in there. ;-)
Thank you so much for your sweet memory and giving such beautiful insight. It truly is the smallest of things that can make the largest impacts and impressions on our outlook on life. I want to definitely be that role model for my children without a doubt!
