While it's absolutely understandable that dealing with a heavy attack of such an unconventional website would take some time to resolve, you are right that keeping the community informed of the progress was something that should have been done.

When people are kept in the dark, that's when they really get worried, frustrated and start losing trust. I haven't, but I still understand why it would have that effect.

I'm not losing trust, I just kindly asked for more transparency. But hey: last night @ned posted a little statement, so that was pretty cool and definitely a step into the right direction :-)

Oh, I definitely get the call for transparency. Keeping in mind the values embodied by the steem blockchain, the call shouldn't have been needed. Unfortunately, it was/is.

Hopefully they have learned the lesson and will not keep us in the dark in the future.
