The Steem Freelancer's Guild has been quiet lately.
We are still hard at work behind the scenes, refining the structure and procedures of our group. The #SteemGigs initiative has seen a recent revitalization, assisting with the creation of a flood of new services, and tons of new people breaking in to the #freelancing niche. It's now more important than ever for high quality freelancing services, and the people who offer them, to stand out in the crowd.
We have decided to stop accepting paid memberships.
A large part of our purpose is to partner with other projects and communities, and be able to offer them whatever they may need, and we want to be able to offer a high quality product. We are incredibly excited to see that #SteemGigs is seeing the recent bloom in relevant content that it is, and will continue to do everything we can to support everyone who offers products and services for STEEM and SBD. We do believe that "Everyone has something to offer."
We will begin scouting talented Steemians, and extending offers to those we feel will be a great fit within our ranks.
From the beginning, we have always been about creating a group of highly talented freelancers who come together to support one another, and benefit from the partnerships set up between the guild and other projects. We want our partners to know that no matter what they need, they will get a high quality product or service.
We will be recruiting new members at the discretion of our guild leaders for the time being ( @thatsweeneyguy & @grow-pro ), but we will be developing a system by which nominees will be voted on. This will give us a way of getting the most objective opinion of talent and skill as possible, and maybe encourage people to hone their craft so as to better "compete" with others.
We hope to become the go-to source for high-quality work!
Instead of project managers searching through tons of post feeds, or creating a post hoping to find someone willing and able to do the task you need done, we want to be able to offer people a one-stop shop for everything they could need withing the Steem-sphere. From graphic design and video production, to content writing and proofreading, our talent-pool already covers a wide variety of services, and we will be expanding that pool in the coming months.
As a happy SFG member, I believe scouting and finding talent to add to the guild is a great idea. I look forward to seeing fresh faces in our community!
Sounds like a great service. I'd like to assist. However, I'm tech challenged (still using my preferred way of communication... smoke signals) so will probably solicit some help on graphic design/markdown and similar things. But once I have that under control would be happy to help. Blessings.
