I was just putting the question out there and giving my opinion. Some people will say they don't have enough posts of their own, but I manage to come up with stuff most days. Share the really cool stuff, but try to get your own stuff out there

Of course you were, and you got a fair amount of comments on different perspectives. IMO posts don't need to be cool to be noteworthy. There's a lot of informative posts hidden away as well. Yours is one of them. I do post my own content. I think I covered my reasons why I'm reluctant to post a lot of my own original stuff in my comment on your own post.
I noticed you have just recently put up a post about beer. I wouldn't add a link in a comment on another's post...especially one that's gone past the best before date but I can do so on my own posts and if you're into micro breweries then you may find this old post of mine of interest. I think it's a good illustration of my personal difficulty with pushing out good quality content with little results. I'm sure it would do much better a year from now...but then now what's done is done. No complaints...no sour hops...just the head of the matter for myself and so many new Steemians.
