Having followers is very important on this platform, because it means that if you post something it will get upvotes and you will earn. If you want more upvotes, that means more followers too. This is why i want to share with you, what i think i know about getting more followers..
I will be mentioning 5 ways peoples can get followers on this platform. So here they go:
1. Have a Niche.
A niche from a google dictionary is:
a job or a position that is very suitable for somebody, especially the on he like.
Having a niche on this platform also can get you a lot of followers. If you are able to always blog about a particular thing that people are interested in, consistently you will attract a lot of follower because they will not want to miss out on more that you have to offer.
However a lot of people have still not been able to discover their niche and so if you are in this category you can blog about whatever comes to mind until you are able to discover your niche. But the fact still remains, that if you know your niche, it helps you to gain a lot of followers.
2. Making Good Quality Post.
In fact if you can make a good quality post, you might not need to do any other thing to get you a lot of followers, making good quality post is enough People normally tend to like quality things and so they are attracted to things that are quality and people who can give them quality things. So the more you post quality content the more follower you will get.
How does someone even know which one is a quality content? Well people may have different views about a quality content. Here are some views about a good quality post:
For me a quality content is when you are able to write stuffs that adds value to peoples live.
For some other people, a quality content is knowing how to use the blogging tools very. A lot of people here do not have a blogging background it is something that need to be learnt. So you need to learn how to blog. You can google how to blog to learn how to blog.
Also for some people a quality content is when the author is able to express himself well in whatever it is he is talking or writing about. Some people do not know how to express themselves well in their post and this is something some people might see has low quality post. Try to express yourself well in you post.
- For some people, a good quality post is when your content is long. Me i differ here, but really some people, their content are really short with even no clear explain. I have seen people who post picture without a text to support it, this is low quality post to me. You to always add a text to whatever picture you post stating clearly what you are trying to bring out from the picture.
Anyone who can talk more the ingredients of quality contents, can share it. I will like to know more about it.
3. Follow Influencial People in the Community.
Follow influencial people like; @jrcornel, @donkeypong, @exyle, @ejemai, @transisto, @kafkanarchy84, @jerrybanfield, @officialfuzzy, @zeartful, @analisa, @surpassinggoogle, @curie, @ogochukwu, @drangonslayer109, @papa-pepper, @stellabelle, @mammasitta, @whatsup, @canadian-coco, @hilarski, @greeman, @joseph, @libertyteethy, @gbenga, @onequality, @stackin, @richardcrill, @oluwoleolaide, @awgbibb, @timsaid, @adsactly, @gavvet, @aggroed, @kingscrown, @sirlunchthehost and many more that i am not able to mention. You can follow this influencial people because a lot of people converge on their post and so you will get to me a lot of people and they will follow you when you comment and vice versa.
4. Follow People too.
One of the big secrets of getting followers is to follower people too. Some people want followers but they do not want to follow anybody. If you are not a famous person or you do not have a big steem power, you need to follow people to get followed.
For you to be a good leader, you have to be a good follower first. So follow people and you will be followed. The more you follow people the more you will get followers.
5. Commenting on others People Posts.
When you comment on other peoples posts, you get to meet with other people and so there is the tendency for you to make friends with them and they will follow you and vice versa. In fact in some cases for some people, just seeing you in other people blog is enough for them to follow you without interacting with.
There could be something they see in you that they liked, like a good comment you made or something. This is how i follow people too in some cases.

To me the primary way to finding good followers is by being a good contributer to someones post. When you write a quality contribution to a post, readers easily get attracted to you and check up your post which can lead them to following you. The easiest and sure way of getting interactive followers is by rather joining a community. Another way to build your steemian follower list is by using Steemfollower.com. I have used it and from that tool alone added at least 300 followers. It is worth looking into and it will help you even if you aren't trying as hard as the app will allow you. I average about 3 new followers a day when I don't login and use the app but days I participate in using it I add about 8 to 10 new followers. Outside of that every thing @yaanivapeji stated in this post will help you a lot in growing your list of followers.
