Funny story....
Just as I was reading the introduction to the book “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz, I realized that the oldest blockchain on earth is the language.
A society (group of people) agree on a vocabulary that is used within this community. This builds consensus. The vocabulary is the cornerstone of the language in which one communicates within society (Blockchain). As soon as someone expands the vocabulary by adding a new word (transaction), this word is gradually introduced into society until it is understood and accepted by the majority (consensus). Only then is it part of the vocabulary and can be seen as an extension of the language (Blockchain + new Block). When a society separates, the formerly common languages evolve separately.
A so-called fork occurs. This linguistic evolution is reflected to a greater or lesser extent in the recent past of cryptocurrencies.
I would be happy to have a round of talks on this toppic :)
