A long time ago purple was also really expensive and hence showed 'royalty' status. Never thought about it as a hidden political meaning (blue + red) but definitely could make sense. Interesting thoughts :)

Hey my friend, yes Tyrion purple was extracted from the murex shellfish which was first produced by the Phoenician city of Tyre. Thus, Tyrion purple was also known as Phoenician purple, and there were historically royal restrictions over who could wear the colour. Purple was also associated with the Babylonian (Phoenician) priest class and throughout history, they have manipulated themselves into positions of immense power (business/banking) and the aforementioned European royalty. Equally, in relation to the crown chakra, it points to higher knowledge and this symbology can also be found within Hinduism and other belief systems. In my Bloodlines series, I show how many religions are a reinterpretation of a singular ancient belief system.
