Oh, that would be interesting. But what are they going to put online? I have a gut feeling that this will be similar to the JFK files. The juicy stuff will remain secret. But maybe some breadcrumbs fall through the cracks...

The Vatican project started in 2010. You can read about it at the link below, and they do mention prioritizing which someone has to decide so you have a point. At the bottom is the main website. If it can be compared to other data dumps, there will be thousands of eyes perusing it now.
