It's a dangerous world out there and you've got to be careful!
I'm not sure how it happened, but it was about the last thing that I expected to see. I guess when life gives you options, you've got to be careful which on you choose.
BE CAREFUL!
On my way back from visiting with @freedompoint, @freedomtowrite, and @armadillocreek, I stopped in a Wal-Mart parking lot to hop on steemit quick and see what I'd missed while driving. While I was hooking up to the hotspot on my iphone, I noticed something peculiar that I had never seen before.
FBI Van?!?!?! At first, I might be inclined to think that maybe someone just named their home wifi "FBI Van"... but I was in a parking lot. That really made we wonder. Also, if "FBI Van" is one of the advertised wifi options, how bad must the "hidden network" be? I mean if the FBI is right out in the open, who in the world is hiding?
Of course, I didn't fall for this potential trap, but it did get me thinking. What do you think? Was it real? Was it just a joke? Am I being tailed by the government? Personally, I'm not sure, but it did make me glad that I was not in my own vehicle but instead in the one I borrowed from @bluerthangreen... sorry Bro.
As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

This is too funny! Our Mom has this ability on her phone to use her data and set up a mobile wifi hotspot, and she named her mobile wifi network FBI Van! We use her hotspot often on road trips and in parking lots too. But I swear, we aren't in Arkansas! Lol :)
LOL! How strange is that!?!?!?!
LOL. You just gave me an idea on how to name my network. Thanks!
Wow that’s crazy man
You do know that you can name a Wifi connection ANYTHING you want, right?
Apparently... I guessed that was a possibility.
Yeah.....but, you made $100 on the article. Totally worth it.
It funny though, maybe someone named his wifi FBI VAblN just to scare people
Perhaps.... or maybe that's just what they want you to think!
You Must......
Very wise words from Mr. Fudd!
LOL omg that would have freaked me out !!
It did! It did!
Hi papa-pepper,
You did not know that the BIG Brother is watching you all the time?
I knew! Can't you see my bandanna in the proof photo?
FBI VAN? If we trust Alexa mics in our homes, why not free FBI VAN wifi? It's all connected anyway, right? @ironshield
Great! Free government phones for all and free FBI wifi too!
sure one really needs to be careful @papa-pepper. a friend of mine wanted to latch on such an opportunity of a free WIFI sometimes ago and ended up crashing his mobile phone cause it seemed the supposed WIFI was a virus. awesome you overcame the temptation.
OH no! We all have to be careful of that!
I’m more interested in that USbeef! Perhaps that is really why that van was doing in those parts. They as well wanted to further investigate such a thing. Perhaps dum dum dum it was not really USbeef after all but from another country!
Yeah, with so many cattle around, the USBeef wifi didn't phase me, I mean, the bovines have to communicate too.
Hahahaha! "FBI VAN"! Thanks for the alert ⚠️ i will pay more attention to how and where i use my wifi 📶 so i don't get trailed by the Feds. Lmao! Very funny one @papa-pepper, you really got me cracked up here 😄.
You picture of the day?... I love it!
OMG..we've got (o)(o), piglet, SKYNET, and Dragon-ball in the apartment complex I live in!
(and about thirty others)....
FBI van on @papa-pepper and SKYNET on @everittdmickey! What has this world come to!
Haha too funny. They were looking for a sketchy character that is sneaking around planting trees!
No kidding!
Hahahaha oh shii...am literally laughing and crying right now
Maybe it's a normal person who uses it to create fear reactions. :D
I am so changing my Wi-Fi name to "DEA VAN"
That's pretty awesome.
I suppose the FBI might roll around in a van with a wireless router just so named FBI Van. You would think they might want to be a tad be sneakier...
It seems they really don't care much about sneaky anymore these days...
CenturyLink4822 is the real FBIvan.
FBIvan is obviously some geeks playing around.
You can, for instance, turn your computer into a hotspot, connected through wallymart, and you can name your hotspot anything you want.
Of course, the govern-cement has done much stupider and sillier stuff than this. So, you never know.
yeah, you never do know....
this sounds weird too, there is someone playing around on WiFi.
But this I am very grateful for the information,We will be cautious when there is an open FBI WiFi.
Always be cautious!
Ok,I will always be careful.
Just thinking aboutHidden Network" wifi ** been chased by " FBI VAN wifi o the spot.
I wonder if this is some kind of joke meme. Occasionally from home, one of the networks that pops up in my Wi-Fi list is “FBI Watcher”. If it really was FBI, would they be that transparent? 😏
It's funny because you can never know if it's a joke or if they use that knowing that people will assume it's a joke. It looks like a good joke by some people who do it to scare people or it might be the FBI themselves who knows that people will think it's a a joke. Whichever it is, just do what you do and always keep your eyes over your shoulder..,
Better than NSA Surveillance Team
It's totally normal.
I had an issue with my modem last year. When my providers sent a tech to set up a new connection, he asked me if I wanted to personalize its name. He said "some people like to call theirs FBI van or something."
At the same place one of my neighbors had FBI van, too.
It's just a silly thing some people like to do. 👌🏼
Interesting, I've never encountered that before!
whew, nothing is private nowadays.even if your'e watching t.v.,your'e being watched.everything you do is somewhat monitored by the government.such a scary thing.
hahaha we also get FBI van and Police van out here too.
Given that we don't actually have an FBI out this way, I think it is safe to assume they are not operating next door.
I checked just now and we have a new WiFi network operating around here called The endless Flagon - It looks like the university students are back :-)
Hahahaha btw what did you do that you are afraid of? I guess @bluerthangreen should take note now, lolz.
I don't think the FBI would openly name their wifi with that name though.
This is super funny even though I would have been totally creeped out! I am so inspired to change the name of the hotspot on my phone now.
What if it was actually an FBI Van connection. What can they do to anyone, if someone isn't doing anything illegal?
Plus I believe they have every information about us they want. If they are interested in us, we can't get away easily.
Maybe they are watching this post and comments too. And now they know about me.
Time to disappear!
I like this post.I liked this post very much for you. From this post I can learn a lot. Thanks for sharing.....

This happened to our neighbors AT THEIR HOUSE...in the middle of nowhere...they snapped a pic to show us...creepy!!!!
scary thing is, nothing is private, theres always something watching..
I once saw a news article on TV about this dangers. There it was said that they really have cars from government or other firms just to steal data!
They rename their portable WLAN to networks names like "McDonald's Free Wifi" (in general to Free Wifis that exists more than one time) because if you have connected to these Free Wifis once your smartphone will reconnect to them. This can happen without you taking notice of anything. If you connect to these networks it is possible that they steal your data.
So always be aware and don't forget to delete the Free Wifi Networks :)
I had an "FBI Van" wifi signal pop up inside of an airport last month so I'm sure its someone being clever and thinking nobody will try to hack their wifi network if they name it "FBI Van." Ha ha... I'm sure they will become prime targets now!
Just a way to keep from joining their network, sure no FBI van around would even name it's hot-spot FBI van.
