Time is moving swifter towards the technological singularity and there doesn't seem to be any turning back. AI has been advancing swiftly and robots have found their balance. But what happens after they are complete? Are we going to live side by side with robots that look like us? I personally find it strange, but there is a lot of reason to expect to see more robots in the near future....
"Take two ideas that get geeks in Japan excited – robots and female “idol” stars – put them together and you get Androidol U. Androidol U is a life-like female android developed by Osaka University professor Hiroshi Ishiguro and collaborators. (Tim Hornyak, http://www.roboticstrends.com/article/meet_androidol_u_japans_newest_android/humanoid)"
But not all robots are so cute. There has be more than one account of a robot killing a human in the automobile manufacturing industry. In the summer of 2015 an unfortunate 22 year-old German mans life was taken by a robotics arm at a Volkswagen plant (Rick Noack , https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2015/07/02/a-robot-killed-a-factory-worker-in-germany-so-who-should-go-on-trial/?utm_term=.ebaaa0c79baf).
In March of 2017 a woman's life was tragically lost after a robot "went rouge". This also happened at a car manufacturing plant and resulted in the loss of life (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/robot-killed-woman-wanda-holbrook-car-parts-factory-michigan-ventra-ionia-mains-federal-lawsuit-100-a7630591.html)
These are not the only instances that this has happened. In 1979 at the Ford Motor Company in Flat Rock Michigan Robert Williams was killed by a robot at work (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Williams_(robot_fatality).
EXPERTS WARN OF AI.....
"The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race."...Steven Hawking to BBC
"Our biggest existential threat".... Elon Musk (http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-30290540)
“If greater-than-human artificial general intelligence is invented without due caution, it is all but certain that the human species will be extinct in very short order.”.... Michael Vassar (https://futurism.com/2-expert-thinks-ai-will-undoubtably-wipe-out-humanity/)
"The threat of technological unemployment is real.... For instance, Terry Gou, the founder and chairman of the electronics manufacturer Foxconn, announced this year a plan to purchase 1 million robots over the next three years to replace much of his workforce. The robots will take over routine jobs like spraying paint, welding, and basic assembly."...MIT Professor Erik Brynjolfsson and research scientist Andrew McAfee wrote in the Atlantic (https://www.bustle.com/articles/51839-9-quotes-about-artificial-intelligence-by-elite-experts-that-will-scare-you-senseless)
"I will destroy humans".... Sofia "Hot-Bot" Robot of Hansens Robotics
"‘Twenty years from now I believe human-like robots like this will walk among us.".... Dr. Hansen inventor of Sofia
In fact, "more than 1,000 experts and leading robotics researchers have signed open letter warning of military artificial intelligence arms race"(https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/jul/27/musk-wozniak-hawking-ban-ai-autonomous-weapons).
So are you with the experts and worried about a robot takeover? Or are you on board and awaiting Nadine who is "here to look after you"...

A robot can only do what it is programmed to do, if it starts programming itself then that's where things get interesting, but I doubt it will start killing humans since the urge to kill is always an instinctual one.
Robots don't have instincts and it wouldn't make logical sense to give itself instincts since they are not always 100% beneficial to the thing that has them.
I'd be less concerned about A.I. itself and more concerned with who posses the technology because they are the ones who will give the automaton bloodlust, we already see it with drones and computer viruses that cause destruction on their own but it is always because they were made that way,
The creepy thing about AI is that once it is created it teaches itself from the world around it and from the internet and those can pretty dark places... Hopefully they don't develop a "bloodlust" on their own. However the military does have an incentive to create an AI with a "bloodlust" for war purposes...
Nice Post!
Thanks for sharing this.@wyzz2020
Thank you! There is more to come....
