D. Implementation
Clear the excavated location.
Make a hole with a length of 1 m, width of 1m and a depth of 1m.
After finishing the hole then the soil layer is observed and then drawn the arrangement and thickness of the soil layer and also the soil type of each layer.jpeg)
A sand cone test on the soil is performed to determine the in-place density of the soil layer or the compacted pavement.
The device described herein is limited to soils containing coarse granules of not more than 5 cm.
The density of the field is the dry weight of the unity of the contents.
EQUIPMENT USED FOR SAND CONE TEST ARE
1#.Bottle transpasan for sand with contents of approximately 4 liters.
2#.The sand calibration funnel with a diameter of 16.51 cm.
3#.Plate for sand funnel size 30,48 cm x 30,48 cm with center hole 16,51 cm.
1#.Hammer, spoon, brush, chisel, and equipment to search for moisture content.
2#.One scales with a capacity of 10 kg accuracy to 1.0 grams.
3#.One scales capacity of 500 grams of precision to 0.1 grams.
4#.Sand
