Sunday was a very cold morning, but as soon as the frost was gone he was out there building the last section for the south living room wall. Once that was done, he got all the sections ready to raise. That section would be the first to go up, followed by the other 2.
The west living room wall would be next.
The south kitchen wall would be at the end, the smallest piece last.
This wall went up easy, but the middle piece has a slight rise on the left side. It’s going to be a gable end.
The west living room wall went up ok, but the end piece in the corner didn’t fit well and had to be clamped into place. The section with no windows also had a bit of a rise on the left end. That will have to be dealt with, as rafters will rest there.
The door section went up ok, but the little window section took many adjustments to get it in. He had me, my helper friend, and our son to help. They’d worked out a system doing the north wall and it only took an hour to put up these 3 walls.
Because the west living room wall was no longer going to have a door, he moved the steps over to the kitchen door.

The builder
It started to rain shortly after we finished, so he quit for the day.
On Monday we return the bad windows and try to sort out the mess with Marvin Windows. Not looking forward to that. We will order another window for the west living room wall, where the door no longer is from another company.
It’s to rain all day, so this is a good construction job to do. On Tuesday, if it is not raining, he will start building the east wall sections.
