One additional feature I'd love to see is the ability to save drafts. I have a couple stories I'm working on but have to type them up in a text editor which is an extra step. Just another way to make things even more user friendly.

Totally. This would work well with the features needed to make comments indistinguishable from posts, too. All this comment box needs is an upload to some sort of distributed storage. Probably fine if it's the kind of distributed storage that drops off over time, too (think: webtorrent-- I think that it would be surprisingly sticky in the end.
