I earned another weekly posting badge from Hivebuzz yesterday which if you know me and how busy I am, you'll appreciate the effort involved in making time to do so. Stringing these together week after week requires a time commitment, as well as a fertile field of post ideas that has to be well plowed, seeded, and watered.
As we march our way towards the end of the month, I'm trying to build a mix of both short and long posts. Because lemme tell ya, I can write long ones when the spirit moves me, but have had to restrain myself so as not to burden the reader with too much text. I think I've done well in that department so far.
What I'm trying to do is to post early in the morning between midnight and 6AM ET, in order to reach the largest potential audience for my posts. That's easier said than done with my eldercare schedule and the various responsibilities put upon me where if I don't do them, they won't get done.
Throwing these posts up at 4PM or in the evening, means I'm publishing when people are involved with other things, hence the push to publish in the AM.
Each post is also set to 100% Power Up, which is something else I've never really done before, and it's nice to see that HP count slowly going up. :)
To anybody out there who says I should be commenting more, believe me, I would if only I had more time.
I consider myself lucky to get my daily post out the door in the first place. What I try to do is to at least respond to the people who leave comments, and if I can, to check out their latest post and drop a comment there as well.
It can be hard sometimes, but we do the best that we can.
I don't know if I'll make it till the end of the month (11 long days away), but it wont be for lack of trying. What I'm liking is the cadence I've set for myself and the fact that as soon as a post is published, I start thinking up ideas for the next one.
Stirring the creative pot in my head is a fun and enjoyable part of the creative process. Those of you out there who take a blank canvas and turn it into something meaningful, know exactly what I'm talking about.
Those that copy the work of someone else or tell ChatGPT to "write me a post about..." are robbing themselves of the ability to create on-the-fly.
Will I Continue?
Is a question I've asked myself about the conclusion of this month. The goal of course is to build that weekly participation into monthly and HOPEFULLY, become a yearly author.
This effort was inspired by exactly that, and I think what, just over a dozen Hivians reached that goal in 2024, and a big congrats to them! :)
We're all here attempting to add our own pages to what I call 'The Book of Hive.' Each post is a page in that book, and like a recording artist, we're all adding to that back catalog that will hopefully bring new people in and breathe new life into this platform.
For me, the time and effort put in has to balance with support at some point in order for me to be able to justify doing this daily for the rest of 2025.
So I'll likely keep going if I make it to the end of the month and then see if there's a bit more support afterwards. Whatever happens it's been a fun little journey so far and I'm a better writer for making the effort.

Pace yourself friend. I know I look for your posts each time I open up PeakD. Even though I may not always comment, I do give them a read and look to vote. Your comments on my posts are also so appreciated.
I do understand compeltely about timing and spreading yourself thin. Hive will always be here and so will us readers. missing a day is not going to make us go away.
Thanks for the words of support. This effort reminds me of my #500CommentChallenge where I shared 500 comments over 10 days. the goal was 50 per day, but some days I didn't make it, and made up for it on other days. I did end up meeting my goal, but that's something I only did once. :) With only 11 days left, It looks like i'll just push on and then see where things stand then. (I may have earned my break at that point). :)
Yeah that is a lot of comments..WOW!
