Alright guys, time to do a steem monsters booster pack giveaway. I've been addicted to Steemmonsters and keep going back to it for the daily quests and the free packs that it gives. Sure, they have a lot of work to do to make it perfect, but they are already great.
To enter, simply make a comment telling me why you play or collect steem monsters cards. I know some people just collect and don't play the game at all. Two seperate people will each win one booster pack. Please remember to use contest hero to enter the contest otherwise your entry won't count. I'll be using their random entry feature to select a winner.
Why do you do what you do? I want to learn more about your reason for being intrested in steemmonsters. I play it because its addicting. The daily quests hook you have you have to play "just one more game" to complete the quest that you have to complete.
I've been playing the fire splinter a lot recently, maily because the quests relate to them but also because I have a lot of those cards to the same level as the summoner that I have.

I believe the interview I did with YABAPMATT aids in explaining this, basically the fact that it is a CCG which has individually tracked cards which actually matter, the purchases you make matter unlike Hearthstone, MTGA, TESLegends and every other PC/Mobile CCG. The market place allows you to make money the same way you would with physical MTG cards except instantly rather than having to travel to a store or post it online and ship the card. Only X amount of gold/foil cards exist which makes this game an INVESTMENT as well. It is a one of a kind product for the consumers on the blockchain and even those who are not yet familiar with the STEEM blockchain thanks to Starter Packs and being able to buy packs via paypal / credit card / other crypto currencies.

I have not started playing ,yet and my main way of collecting cards until now are giveaways. To be honest I was trying to get RDR2 through the steem and sbd I get from steem, and did not want to divert the spending that much. I thought that I can get the needed 5 monsters through the market, however I was told that i can not enter into ranked matches without buying a starter pack, so I am currently just dormant seeing if I win giveaways.
Yea, you need the starter pack to be able to play. I hope that you reach RDR2, its a great game. Haven't gotten too far into it(wayyyy too busy) but already its amazing.
I play Steemmonsters, because it's really hooking. I didn't fancy the game at first, but the uuuuurge to open the packs and the need to climb the leaderboard ladder is just too big. Once you start, it's hard to stop wanting better cards or better rating. : )
Oh yea, I have packs waiting for me to give away and its so tempting to open them. Have to use everything to stop myself from pressing open.

i play because i been following crypto for a long time and liked how they figured out how to use steem / blockchain to get something working.
@gpiglioni, I still do not play it, but while I do not have the first pack of beginners, I would like to go collecting cards to have a stronger pack to start playing, I have been waiting because several of my friends have been playing and so seen I like the monsters of darkness.

Well, I was writing that to be an entry as the post just said to comment to enter then I found the entry with comment is clickable. so now I feel like an idiot. plus I had to fill that with something as not to be a carbon copy of the entry.
Just started playing over the weekend and am having a ton of fun, spent a good bit of money but I think it will be worth it in the long run, and am probably going to spend much more.
Because i won a Monstercard and now i use these cards as prizes for my steemitgames :)

seriously i addicted to this game ... & i collect for trade also.
I'm playing in this game because it's great! And of course I 'm collecting some rare and gold cards because I believe that after several years I will show they to my friends or children and tell their card story and legends

When I first started playing SteemMonsters, I was only very new to the Steem blockchain, and still looking for my niche. What I found within SteemMonsters was something that I enjoy doing, as well as a reason to keep posting unique content, easily overcoming writer's block. I love collecting the cards and booster packs, opening the packs, playing the game itself, and engaging with the player community that has built up around SteemMonsters. There is so much to do on the Steem blockchain which relates somehow to SteemMonsters. It keeps me engaged and provides inspiration for new posts on the blockchain. There are many, many reasons that I enjoy SteemMonsters!

I wondered whether I'd be able to play Steem Monsters, as I had never played a card game before. I had also feared that my visual impairment might not let me know my cards stats or select the cards to battle. It's not perfect. I have to do some workarounds to browse the site and select my cards with a screen reader, but fortunately I'm able to play the game reasonably.
Also, most of my cards are from giveaways (I've never bought a card pack except for the starter set), and I'm glad that the daily quests give us packs and we don't need to buy them. I'm amazed at the measures to keep the game balanced like the level caps for each league, and that even my level 1 cards are able to complete the quests and win one booster pack every day!
once i figured out the game omg i am so addicted but am missing many key cards! ugh i got to gold level this season but it is my first so most of my cards are still babies aghhhh
