A lone tree standing in front of the salt Plains in Etosha National Park Botswana Africa. The landscape is very arid out here and shade is few and far between.

Hi @axeman, thanks for having this contest.
For this landscape I used something extra. During one of many hikes in Western Canada I brought a cristal ball especially for this moment. The cristal ball turns everything upside down. Which makes it even more interesting if you post the photo upside down. Friends thought it was a drop of water coming out the rocks.

I almost forgot my entry for this week, thanks for reminding me @axeman 😉
My contribution for this week is a few days old already. The tower on the image is about 21 miles as the crow flies from my location, which is on a mountain called Dobratsch. The tower is on a quite small mountain, called Pyramidenkogel and under the fog on the left there is the lake Wörthersee.

One picture two countries... Border germany/austria
I'm chipping in with a shot I took with my film camera in B&W. Nice contrast with the ridge of Mt. Pilatus in the foreground and the snow capped Swiss Alps in the background. It looks impenetrable (and it is!)
Beautiful beach and palms scene on Cowrie Island, Palawan. This is like the photo I took for the reason of the slogan "there's more fun in the Philippines". Travelled to this tiny island by boat.

This is a stormy morning in San Joaquin...
The famous canyon of India, known as Sandhan valley. It is a very narrow valley which is almost 10km long, situated in Maharashtra's Ahamadabad district, India. The valley gives thrill on every step. One can have all the fun there like, trekking, loose rocks, rock climbing, rappelling, camping, water crossing and unforgettable landscape.
