I choose Option 1. She is very close still to the Gym and the students there are the ones under her care. Plus, she recognises the scream, as though it's one of hers. Her first impulse and instinct is therefore most likely to run to the gym and check there. Of course, she should check where she is closest, but it sounds like the gym is nearby behind her and the science class nearby and ahead. In order to cross less distance to be faster, she should quickly turn back, check the gym. If ever it's not the gym, she hurries to the science class and checks there. In my school the bathroom was close to the gym, so she could check both at the same time. The gym doors are big, she can easily check and then head to the bathroom. It seems that there can be several good answers here. As long as she is quick to respond. The last thing she should do is ignore. But I choose the gym first because she recognises the scream, so chances are, it's one of hers from there.
