Many years ago, I gave up on making New Years Resolutions. This is a major form of lying which people think is OK to do. Every year we make a resolution, or a vow, that we will do something, quit something, etc.; and every year these vows are not kept. I realized that the Lord Jesus Christ was not happy - actually hates -- this behaviour, so I gave it up.
