Have you wondered what’s the meaning behind some of your fellow Steemians usernames?
I know I have. Some of the names out there are so creative and intriguing, yet I've never taken the time to find out what they mean. I've now just begun to communicate with my fellow Steemians on Discord, but with such little time and so many neat people, I needed a way to speed up the process. This contest will hopefully achieve that goal.
Most of us didn’t have a hand in choosing our RLN (Real Life Names) so when we’re given the opportunity to create usernames online, what drives us to choose what we’ve chosen? Our usernames are our own personal chosen signatures to the world. What do they all mean? Inquiring minds want to know! Through this contest I hope to shed some light on our more obscure and bizarre Steemians. This contest will tell us a lot about them and about ourselves through our responses and interactions.
So, let’s have some fun, shall we?
Here’s the rules:
- I will nominate and then interview a fellow Steemian each week as to how they came up with their username.
- Contestants will give their best explanation to the meaning behind the mystery of that username in the comment section of the contest post. You can choose to be serious, or just be creative and funny, your choice.
Contestants will upvote (with a minimum 25% upvote power) that weeks contests post.

There are two ways to win:
- The original username owner will determine whose answer is most accurate
AND
- I will determine whose answer is the most creative.
In case of a tie, that is a similar answer, either accurate or creative, the answer given first will win.
There are two ways to be disqualified:
If you contact or have had contact with the nominated user and ascertained the meaning of their username, you are resolutely disqualified.
If the nominated user is a Real Life Friend (RLF) you should be ashamed of yourself for associating with such riff-raff and you are soundly disqualified by the guilt of your association.

The whole point of this contest is to meet new people and learn new things. It’s not just about winning SBD.
You are on the honor system when participating. So, be honorable and don’t let your inside knowledge drive you crazy for filthy lucre.

Cecicastor a very hard username to guess. Well I guess it has something to do with casting in a film and ceci is the screen name.. being inlove and inspired with film industry the username @cecicastor choose this username for steemit. Sort of inspiration in steeming.
Cecilia Castro since she's from Nicaragua. Not sure about the first name though.

@cecicastor could be a beaver named ceci( short for cecilia or cecile ) because castor in spanish(also on portguese) is the same as Beaver(animal) in english. So it is "Cecile the beaver" eheh xD

Guessing the most probable thing, Ceci is the name of the person and Castor is the name of her spouse
Cecicastor is a name probably inspired by love for nature and camera. Seeing things through pictures. From the name, Ceci, I'd say a female adventurer...
"Ceci" in french means "This " and "Castor" is the lead character of the Canadian animated television series "PAPA BEAVER'S STORYTIME" (French: Les histoires du Père Castor) so maybe he was a big fan of it when he was a child and i see that @Cecicastor is from Canada so maybe i can get close to the answer

from my opinion i think the username cecicastor was inspired by the the movie beautiful ceci who was a hard working lady and loved by the workers while castor is gotten from the famous castor oil which has a lot of benefits and uses.

Celebrating a Cistern of Castor. @cecicastor must really love her castor oil, decides to make a cistern and even made her own username according due to her success. Do hope she has funcelebrating with her cistern of castor oil
@cecicastor I imagine that the ceci is the diminutive of his first name as he is told by his relatives and loved ones. And the beaver because he is a person that likes the nutaraleza in particular the mountains as if he comes from a family of lumberjacks, well I think so.
Maybe it's as simple as this: ceci is her first name and castor is her last name? I know, a boring answer, right?
I bet she's frustated not getting accepted by steemit using her real username when she created an account. Then she try it again by typing with blindfolded.
My guess is the user's real name is Cecilia Castor hence @cecicastor. Now regarding the avatar... I have no idea!
I think @cecicastor is built up of two parts: one the one hand, "ceci" and on the other hand "castor". "ceci" is the shortname for cecilia (since she is a woman, and is very common name - I bet that is her name), and "castor" (taking into account the spanish spelling of the "beaver") is a metaphor of how she sees herself or how others see her (which eventually might have gained her that nickname). The "castor" idea I got it from two things: the "castor (beaver)" is the national animal of canada, where she apparently lives, and also, in general, a beaver represents someone dedicated to building a cozy home or environment. And since she is a woman dedicated to her family, she could very well have acquired that nickname. :)
hhhmm it's an interesting to guess this username @cecicastor , i guess @ceci is from her first name cecile, ceci might be came from a term used for defining a female of extraordinary beauty, the beauty outside and deep with in that shines and radiates like a star in the night, a star to her beloved, to her children, grandchildren and friends. And castor is a name of a star that's one of the brightest in the gemini canstellation, maybe @cecicastor likes heavenly bodies, and it might be the word castor came from one of her plants in her garden, the castor oil plant...😇

Well, to me i think she choose the name because ceci in most films are name of beautiful people, and any body with the name castor are always strong (strong and beautiful) LMAO. Or maybe her name is cecilia and she just has been using castor since she was young. All the same, it's a nice name.

I think this is different contest than others ,i like it.
@cecicastor for me I think that the user name was derived from the steemians name Cecil and what she feels about herself castor . Castor means a star in the germini constellation . So I think the username means Cecil is a star .
@cecicastor .the username was gotten from her name Cecil and an extinct specie the North American beaver . So i think her name means Cecil is a unique blend and has no duplicate .
