RE: Promoting Steem Engagement: Food Photography Contest [ROUND 2]

in #contest7 years ago (edited)

Hi good morning!

I would like to introduce my entry, a Quezon's special delicacy "Pansit Lucban"" or "Pansit Habhab".

It is made from special noodles found only in Quezon, cooked just like the traditional pansit but what makes it different, was of course the noodles, the raw onion toppings and perfectly paired with cane vinegar as sauce.

It is originated in Lucban and tradionally eaten in "habhab" way (using the mouth not the hands or fork), does the name came from.

Thank you and happy weekend! 😊😊

What makes the noodles different and what makes it special? To us (Bisaya), the word habhab means to eat like there's no tomorrow hahaha! Thanks for sharing this to us :)

Hi,
Its a dried flour noodles similar to pansit canton, but it has a distinct taste which I have no idea with the other ingredients that the local makers put on that, haha! And the color of the noodles is quite darker than the pansit canton. The noodles also known as "Miki Lucban".
Wow! Thanks for the trivia about "habhab". 😄😄
New vocabulary. 😊
